Bairstow shares his personal experience through his Instagram handle
As they prepared for their ODI World Cup warm-up match against India in Guwahati, the England cricket squad endured a miserable flight. Jonny Bairstow, the wicketkeeper for England, posted an update on the team’s journey, which reportedly took more than 38 hours, on Instagram. Bairstow posted a photo of an England player traveling in economy class to illustrate the difficulties the players faced. The athletes in the photo appear exhausted from the lengthy travel while being surrounded by other passengers.
Bairstow wrote “utter chaos” and “last leg incoming… been some trip” as the post’s captions. With a laughing emoji, he said, “38 hours and counting…”.
Both the English and Indian players have arrived in Guwahati, according to a report from ANI. Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, and a few other members of the coaching and support staff were seen walking toward the team bus while representing England as an all-rounder and batsman.
Prior to the start of the ODI World Cup, England is set to play two exhibition games. India will meet the Netherlands on October 3 in Thiruvananthapuram as their second warm-up game after their match against England. On October 2, in Guwahati, England will play Bangladesh in its second pregame match.
