Is Rishabh Pant Poised For A Stunning Return In The 2023 World Cup? Recovery Of An Indian Star Surprises BCCI: Report

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant titled his internet-shattering message, “Not bad yaar Rishabh,” in which the injured player provided yet another vital update on his condition. After nearly missing six months of competitive cricket, Pant is making significant progress towards full fitness and has stayed committed to make a dramatic comeback in the year when India is slated to host the 50-over World Cup. The dangerous Indian batter, a former captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC), was anticipated to miss the entire 2023 season after surviving a terrible vehicle accident on December 30.

According to recent developments, Pant is healing quicker than anticipated, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is doing all possible to hasten his recovery. After the devastating vehicle accident, the Indian southpaw was recently spotted walking for the first time without crutches. Pant was seen putting aside his crutches in a popular video uploaded by the India gloveman last month, and the star hitter won many hearts on social media.

As they say, successes are stronger than failures. Pant is said to have impressed the BCCI by displaying signs of a quick recovery. ESPNcricinfo reported that India’s top cricket body is working to get Pant ready for the ODI World Cup this year. The injured batter is raising his lower-body and upper-body mobility routines under the direction of physio S Rajnikanth. Rajnikanth has already worked with numerous Indian age-group teams. Additionally, he has worked for Delhi Capitals. When they were undergoing rehabilitation, people like Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and M Vijay received assistance from the well-known physio. Following Pant’s airlift, the NCA’s physiotherapist Thulasi Ram Yuvaraj is keeping an eye on his rehabilitation.

According to the report, Pant oversees interactive sessions for the NCA’s age-group cricket players. VVS Laxman, the head of the NCA, organised the aforementioned seminars. The 25-year-old last represented India during the Asian superpowers’ December tour of Bangladesh. Following the collision, Pant missed the World Test Championship final, Border-Gavaskar Trophy, and the IPL 2023. The young Indian has represented the Asian heavyweights in 33 Tests, 30 ODIs, and 66 T20 Internationals.
