IPL 2026: Mukul Chaudhary’s Heroics Guide LSG To Thrilling Win Over KKR

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) secured a thrilling three-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2026 at Eden Gardens. Mukul Chaudhary delivered a match-winning performance, smashing an unbeaten half-century to guide his team home in a tense chase.

Chasing 182, LSG began steadily as Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram added 41 runs for the opening wicket in 4.1 overs. Marsh scored 15 off 11 balls before getting out, while Markram made 22 off 15 balls before Vaibhav Arora dismissed him. Arora struck twice in quick succession to put pressure on LSG.

Captain Rishabh Pant failed to make an impact, scoring 10 off 9 balls. Nicholas Pooran continued his lean run with 13 off 15 deliveries, while Anukul Roy bowled Abdul Samad for 2 runs, leaving LSG in trouble.

Amid the collapse, Ayush Badoni held his ground and played a composed innings, scoring 54 runs off 34 balls, including seven fours and two sixes.

In the final overs, Mukul Chaudhary turned the game with an explosive knock of 54 not out off just 27 balls. He struck two fours and seven sixes, showcasing remarkable composure under pressure. With 14 runs required in the last over, Mukul smashed two sixes off Vaibhav Arora to seal a memorable win for LSG.

KKR’s Bowling Effort

For KKR, Vaibhav Arora and Anukul Roy picked up two wickets each, while Sunil Narine and Cameron Green claimed one wicket apiece.

Earlier, KKR posted 181 for 4 in their 20 overs after being put in to bat. Finn Allen managed only 9 runs before getting dismissed. Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi then built a vital 84-run partnership for the second wicket in 52 balls. Rahane scored 41 off 24 balls, while Raghuvanshi contributed 45 off 33 balls. Rinku Singh added just 4 runs.

Cameron Green and Rovman Powell provided a strong finish with an unbeaten 70-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Green remained unbeaten on 32 off 24 balls, while Powell scored 39 not out off 24 balls.

LSG bowlers, including Digvesh Rathi, Avesh Khan, Prince Yadav and Siddharth, took one wicket each to restrict KKR earlier. This result marks KKR’s third defeat of the season, while Lucknow Super Giants registered their second win in IPL 2026, gaining valuable momentum in the tournament.
