The two-day event also saw 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi make history as the youngest player ever signed in the league, with Rajasthan Royals securing his services for ₹1.10 crore after an intense bidding war with Delhi Capitals.

Massive Spending By Franchises

Teams collectively spent ₹639.15 crore to acquire 182 players, including 62 overseas cricketers, in preparation for the upcoming season. This auction saw astronomical deals for top players, with Punjab Kings securing Shreyas Iyer for ₹26.75 crore and Kolkata Knight Riders splashing ₹23.75 crore for Venkatesh Iyer.

With the auction concluded, all 10 teams unveiled their squads, featuring a mix of retained players, new signings, and rising stars.

Mumbai Indians

Led by Hardik Pandya, Mumbai’s squad includes Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav, alongside key additions like Reece Topley and Mitchell Santner.

Punjab Kings

Punjab secured heavyweights Shreyas Iyer, Glenn Maxwell, and Marcus Stoinis, bolstering their lineup with seasoned performers and young talent.
