India won the toss and decided to bat first in the Asian Games final match, scoring a total of 116 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Sri Lanka’s team could only manage 97 runs, losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. As a result, the Indian team defeated Sri Lanka by 19 runs.
Smriti played an outstanding innings in the final match against Sri Lanka, contributing the highest number of runs for Team India. She scored 46 runs off 45 balls. Besides Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues played a crucial innings of 42 runs off 40 balls. On the bowling front, Titas Sadhu was the standout performer, taking the most wickets for India. Meanwhile, for Sri Lanka, Inoka Ranaweera, Sugandhika Kumari, and Udeshika Prabodhani each took 2 wickets.
