Since this historic achievement, the team has received widespread praise. Notable industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s wife, Nita Ambani, has also commended the Indian women’s cricket team. It’s worth noting that the Indian team was participating in the Asian Games for the first time, and they clinched the gold medal by defeating Sri Lanka by 19 runs in the cricket final. Besides Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues played a crucial innings of 42 runs off 40 balls. On the bowling front, Titas Sadhu was the standout performer, taking the most wickets for India. Meanwhile, for Sri Lanka, Inoka Ranaweera, Sugandhika Kumari, and Udeshika Prabodhani each took 2 wickets.
