India vs West Indies ODI Opener: Date, Venue And How To Watch

India starts their three-match ODI campaign against West Indies on Sunday, September 27, at Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield International Stadium.

The series will form part of the teams’ build-up to the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are expected to return to action. Their previous ODI appearance came during India’s away series against England in July.

Several regular players are currently competing at the Asian Games. Their absence could open up places for fringe players, including Nitish Kumar Reddy, Dhruv Jurel, Naman Dhir, Gurnoor Brar and Auqib Nabi.

West Indies, meanwhile, will look to use the tour as preparation for the World Cup qualifying campaign next February. The team has yet to secure automatic entry to the 2027 tournament.

The opening match is scheduled to begin at 2 PM IST on Sunday.

India and West Indies will meet again on September 30 in Guwahati, before concluding the series on October 3 in New Chandigarh. Both subsequent games are also listed for 2 pm starts.
