India Vs Sri Lanka T20:  The cricket experts argue for the inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav in place of Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal in the first T20I facing Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

Following a back-to-back disappointment in the T20 World Cup 2022, the Indian cricket’s transition phase commences with Hardik Pandya as the captain of the T20 squad along with swashbuckling batsman Suryakumar Yadav as his deputy in series starting January 03 against Sri Lanka.

The top batter from Indian side, Rohit Sharma is still recuperating from a finger injury, whereas KL Rahul and Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are not being picked, the BCCI selectors have picked an squad of their choice keeping an eye on the 2024 T20 World Cup.

India Vs Sri Lanka T20: Kuldeep & Washington with priority on Chahal & Axar

There still have been no decision over the inclusion of the all rounders and spinners. There are options to be chosen between Axar Patele, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in the playing eleven.

Two spinners may not be seen in Indian squad

It is least expected that Indian side will go with 2 wrist-spinners. Possibility of Washington Sundar piping  Axar Patel for the all-rounder spot is high. The ability to bowl in the power-play may give Kuldeep Yadav the edge. Simultanously, the ‘Kulcha’ pair return is also highly unlikely.

Gill and Hooda will bear load of expectations

Talented batter Shubman Gill is about to make his T20 debut along with Deepak Hooda to bat at number three. The uncapped duo Mavi and Mukesh might be sitting out in the first game
