India Target Series Victory As West Indies Clash Moves To Guwahati

India will attempt to wrap up the three-match ODI series when they face the West Indies at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

India arrive after completing a 297-run chase in Thiruvananthapuram, powered by Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 139 from 88 balls and captain Shubman Gill’s 110 off 108 deliveries.

Kuldeep Yadav also played a key part in the victory, taking four wickets for 40 runs to help contain the visitors.

The hosts have a perfect ODI record in Guwahati, having won both matches played there.

Kohli struck a century in each outing, while Rohit Sharma has registered a hundred and a half-century at the ground.

Every innings in those two games passed the 300-run mark, putting the spotlight on the bowling units once again.

The West Indies’ top order challenged India in the first match, with John Campbell making 62 from 60 balls and Justin Greaves compiling 101 off 108.

The visitors raced to 135 without losing a wicket in 19 overs, but India regained control through Kuldeep’s effective spell.

The team management could adjust the attack after leaving Mohammed Siraj and Auqib Nabi out of the opener.

Dhruv Jurel and Yashasvi Jaiswal may also come into contention as India look to secure the series.
