India cricket players were attacked in Pakistan, but Irfan Pathan shows screenshots and says they “moved on”

Things have gotten hotter for Pakistan in their 2023 ODI World Cup campaign since their loss to India. In Ahmedabad, Babar Azam and company lost by seven wickets, and their loss was characterized by extreme one-sidedness. With 192 to chase, India’s bowling team collectively held Pakistan to 191 in 42.5 overs. Thanks to half-centuries from captain Rohit Sharma (86) and Shreyas Iyer (53*), the mark was reached in 30.3 overs.

Irfan Pathan mocks PCB

Following the game, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) filed a formal protest with the International Cricket Council (ICC), citing “inappropriate conduct” towards its players during their World Cup match against India, as well as delays in the issuance of visas for Pakistani journalists and supporters.

“Due to delays in granting visas to Pakistani journalists and the lack of a visa policy for Pakistani fans attending the ongoing World Cup 2023, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has filed another formal protest with the International Cricket Council (ICC).” Additionally, the PCB has lodged a protest against unprofessional behaviour directed at the Pakistan team during the October 14, 2023, India vs. Pakistan encounter,” the PCB posted on social media site X.

“The PCB is extremely disappointed to see that journalists from Pakistan and fans are still facing uncertainty about obtaining an Indian visa to cover Pakistan games in the ICC World Cup 2023,” the PCB had previously stated to ESPNCricinfo. Meanwhile, PCB has reminded BCCI and ICC of their respective responsibilities once more.”

Irfan Pathan’s shocking revelation: “A fan threw an iron nail in Peshawar”

Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan responded to the news differently, believing that PCB’should quit creating complaints on audience behaviour’ since he had experienced a same level of treatment ‘in Peshawar’. Commentator Pathan disclosed, “We were playing a game in Peshawar when a fan suddenly threw an iron nail at me which struck under my eye.” This occurred during the World Cup match between India and Bangladesh. We were always grateful for their kindness and never turned that into a problem. Pakistan ought to give up criticizing Indian crowd behavior.”
