IND vs AUS: First Test between India And Australia Starting From Today, Australia Wins The Toss

 After weeks and weeks of build-up and complot and plaguing about the pitch, in a few hours from now, the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy will start from Thursday onwards in Nagpur. Throughout four Tests, reputations will be built or burnt down. What is the secret surrounding the Playing XI captain Rohit Sharma deciding to go with or Who will be the third pacer? Where will Shubman Gill bat? All these burning questions will be answered very shortly. 

The present situation is such that even Rohit is not sure whom to play and drop. On the eve of the series opener, Rohit did nothing to help ease the media and fans’ suspense. It’s adding further to the mystery of India’s Playing XI. Former India Kapil Dev reckons Gill should be the man for the job.

The fans are likely to miss all-rounder Cameron Green, who is still recovering from his finger injury. Also inaccessible are pacers Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc. This could mean Todd Murphy could be handed a debut, to start alongside off-spinner Nathan Lyon. 

The last Test match between India and Australia was played in Brisbane in January 2021. At the same Team India defeated Australia by 3 wickets. In the past 5 Test matches played between the two teams, Team India has won 2 matches, while Australia has won only 1 match while 2 matches were drawn.
