With an impressive tally of 865 rating points, the 32-year-old India T20I skipper has extended his lead over his contemporaries. Suryakumar’s dominance comes just ahead of the ICC World T20, where he is anticipated to retain the top spot.

The Indian captain’s remarkable innings in the recent clash against South Africa saw him score 56 off 36 balls, contributing significantly to India’s total of 180-7 in 19.3 overs. Notably, Suryakumar crossed the 2000-run milestone, equalling Virat Kohli’s record as the joint-fastest Indian to achieve this feat in T20Is, both reaching 2,000 runs in 56 innings.
