ICC Rankings Update: Kishan Climbs 32 Spots, Ayub Tops All-Rounders List

Ishan Kishan delivered a remarkable display in the three-match T20I series against New Zealand, amassing 207 runs, including his maiden T20I century. This performance cemented his reputation as one of India’s in-form batters ahead of the T20 World Cup, beginning February 7.

The left-handed wicketkeeper-batter surged 32 places in the ICC rankings and now sits at 32nd position.

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav moved past Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan to claim sixth place, while opener Abhishek Sharma retained his top ranking among batters.

Pakistan’s Saim Ayub climbed to the top of the T20I all-rounders chart after excelling in the recent 3-0 series victory over Australia.

The 23-year-old scored 119 runs and took three wickets, displacing Sikandar Raza from the leading position.

Spinner Abrar Ahmed also improved his standing, rising to second place, just 28 points behind India’s Varun Chakravarthy.

Fellow all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz moved up eight spots in the bowlers’ rankings after taking a five-wicket haul.

Other notable changes, however, include England’s Adil Rashid moving to fourth in the leg-spinner chart, and New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner jumping eight places to 23rd.

Among batters, Jos Buttler reached third, Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka climbed to fifth, and New Zealand’s Tim Seifert advanced to ninth.

South Africa’s Ryan Rickleton surged 42 places to 40th, and Australian all-rounder Cameron Green rose 16 spots to 14th.

Quinton De Kock, following a brilliant hundred, gained 15 places to 22nd.

With the T20 World Cup on the horizon, these ranking changes highlight the players shaping their teams’ prospects.

Kishan and Ayub are set to play pivotal roles, promising an exciting tournament for cricket fans worldwide.
