Gautam Gambhir resigns from the Lucknow Super Giants and reveals the name of his new IPL team

Venky Mysore, the CEO of KKR, made the announcement on Wednesday and gave Gambhir the title of mentor. Co-owner of the Knight Riders

Shah Rukh Khan expressed his gratitude for the choice, referring to Gambhir’s joining the team as the “return of their captain.” As Gambhir’s transfer from LSG to KKR was finalized, he was overcome with emotion.

During the course of two years, Gambhir mentored LSG and helped them advance to the IPL 2022 final. LSG placed third in the league during the 2023 season, although they were unable to make it to the championship game for the second consecutive year.

In an emotional message, he declared his departure from Lucknow: “Gambhir also said goodbye to the Super Giants.” He posted on Twitter, saying, “I am bursting with love and immense gratitude towards all the players, coaches, support staff, and every individual who has made this journey memorable as I announce the end of my impeccable journey with Lucknow Super Giants.” I express my gratitude to Dr. Sanjiv Goenka for his outstanding guidance during the establishment of this amazing franchise and for his unwavering support of all my endeavors. I have no doubt that the group will succeed in the future and bring pride to all LSG supporters. “Best wishes, LSG Brigade!”

Upon his return, Gambhir said, “I don’t get upset easily and don’t get moved by a lot of things.” However, this isn’t like that. Here we are at the beginning of it all again. I can’t get the lump in my throat or the fire in my heart that comes from thinking about putting that purple and gold jersey on again. Not only am I returning to KKR, but

I’m returning to the joyful city. I’m back. I’m craving food. Number 23 is me. Ami KKR.
