Ronaldo leads the team from the front
Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Al Nassr against Al Shorta on Wednesday in the Arab Club Champions Cup semifinal, continuing his goal-scoring streak for the team.
Ronaldo scored the game’s lone goal in the 75th minute after Sadio Mane, another teammate, was fouled inside the penalty area.
Al Nassr’s entry into the championship was made possible by his goal, and the superstar appears to be on fire just a few days before the Saudi Premier League gets underway.
Ronaldo scored the opening goal for his club against Raja Casablanca a few days prior, as Al Nassr defeated Raja Casablanca 3-1 in the tournament’s quarterfinals.
Talisca, a teammate, assisted the Portuguese superstar in scoring in the 19th minute. The Brazilian footballer deceived two defenders on the right flank before sprinting into the penalty area and putting the ball just in front of Ronaldo’s goal.
At the edge of the box, Cristiano pushed his left foot into the ball while being unmarked, and it soared into the net.
Cristiano gave Al Nassr a 2-1 victory on August 1 by scoring his first goal of the year with a signature header in the 74th minute against Tunisian team Monastir.
The historic goal allowed Cristiano to surpass Gerd Muller’s record of 144 goals scored with the head.
