Before Asia Cup In 2023: Stats Show Rohit Sharma And Co Are Much Ahead Of Pak Team

The Indian cricket team has a long history of producing top-notch spinners, and more recently, their spin assault has been a key factor in their success on the international scene. The composition of the spin assault that captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid may choose for their Asia Cup 2023 opener against Pakistan on September 2 is still up in the air, but one thing is certain: the spinners will play a significant part. When compared to their Pakistani counterparts since 2022, the significance of the Indian spinners is glaringly obvious. India’s spin attack made a significant contribution with 100 dismissals, compared to Pakistan’s 57 ODI wickets from spinners.

India’s got  advantage in Asia Cup In 2023

While Indian spinners have a significant advantage in terms of wickets, the economy rate makes the figures much more compelling. Once more, the Indian spinners (5.1) held a little advantage over Pakistan’s bowlers in that area, who recorded an economy rate of 5.3.

India Vs Pakistan to kick off soon

The Asia Cup, which kicks off in Multan on Wednesday, has additional meaning thanks to three potential high-octane India vs Pakistan matches for the border-starved supporters on both sides of the border and a final opportunity for five nations to clean up their separate houses before the World Cup.

The 2023 edition of the event, which starts on Wednesday, has taken up a significant portion of team think tanks’ attention. In the past decade, it has frequently struggled to remain relevant in the face of the mushrooming bilateral matches and the declining popularity of T20 cricket.
