AUS vs NZ match highlights: Australia defeats New Zealand in a thrilling last-ball match as Travis Head shines with century in his debut game

In an exciting match, Australia defeated New Zealand by five runs to extend their winning streak at the Cricket World Cup 2023 in Dharamsala on Saturday. Australia scored 388 runs in 50 overs while batting first, eventually stopping the Kiwis at 383 for nine.

In his debut World Cup match, Travis Head struck 109 off 67 balls and combined with David Warner (81 off 65 balls) for the first wicket to score 175 runs.

The score was raised towards the end by Glenn Maxwell (41), Jos Inglis (38) and Pat Cummins (who smashed 37 off just 14 balls). With figures of 3 for 37 at the end, Glenn Phillips did a commendable job with the ball as his colleagues were sent to the dry cleaners. Rachin

Following Travis Head’s century, which helped the Australians reach 388, Rachin Ravindra’s tenacious century spearheaded the New Zealand chase. The five-time champion Australians secured the victory with outstanding fielding, despite New Zealand needing 19 runs in six balls to win.
