Speed skater and Adani Sportsline Academy athlete Parth Suragbhai Shah has received Gujarat’s prestigious Jaydeepsinhji Junior Award for his achievements at state and national levels.
Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi presented the award at a ceremony in Gandhinagar on August 12.
The Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department gives the award to recognise young athletes for their talent, dedication and achievements.
Junior recipients receive a cash prize of ₹10,000.
Parth began skating in 2016 at the age of six and has since won several medals at state-level competitions. He has represented Gujarat at the National Championships five times and has received the Centre of Excellence (COE) scholarship twice in recognition of his consistency and potential.
Parth has trained at Adani Sportsline Academy for the past three years, receiving professional coaching, access to modern facilities and competitive exposure.
The academy aims to help young athletes develop their skills and compete at higher levels.
“Receiving the Jaydeepsinhji Junior Award means a lot to me. It feels great to see that hard work recognised at this level,” Parth said, while thanking the Gujarat Government, Adani Sportsline and his coaches for their support.
Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer, Adani Sportsline, said Parth’s dedication reflects the commitment the academy seeks to nurture among young athletes. He further added that the academy would continue supporting Parth as he pursues his sporting goals.
The award marks another milestone in Parth’s skating journey and highlights the growing opportunities for young athletes in Gujarat.
