“The India-Bangladesh relationship is built on a very strong foundation starting from 1971,” Says Bangladesh Foreign Secretary

On the importance of the General Election in Bangladesh for India & the neighboring countries, Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masud bin Momen says, “The India-Bangladesh relationship is built on a very strong foundation starting from 1971 and the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. Over the years these relations have moved from strength to strength. Recently at so many levels, our relationship has blossomed. One thing I would like to see is more progress in connectivity and joint projects with mutual economic benefits. Some of the foundations have been laid. Therefore with good results in the upcoming elections both in Bangladesh and, subsequently in India, these various connectivity-related projects will further be strengthened.
