SC Directs Formation Of Committee In All HCs To Look Into Pay And Pension Of Judges Of High Court

Supreme Court directs formation of a committee in each High Court across India to ensure that orders concerning the pay and pension of judges are properly implemented. As per the CJI DY Chandrachud, the committee shall consist of:

-2 judges of the HC
-Law secretary
-Registrar General of the HC
-Retired judicial officer to act as a nodal officer
-Senior most judge nominated by Chief Justice will be the chairperson of the committee

The function of the committee will be to see proper implementation of SNJPC and pay pensions.
