Iran has condemned Russia for its support of the United Arab Emirates over the three disputed Persian Gulf islands. Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani called the three islands ‘an inseparable part’ of Iran and also said that Tehran will not show ‘the slightest hesitation in maintaining its territorial integrity.’ This comes after Russia extended support to the UAE’s claim at the sixth Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum in Morocco.
