Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ programme. PM said, “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra completed 50 days of its journey just 2-3 days ago. 11 crore people have joined this Yatra. The government is itself reaching out to the people and trying to connect them with its schemes. Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has become a yatra of the country. Whether it is a mega city like Mumbai, or a small village in Mizoram, Karhil or Kanniyakumari, ‘Modi ki Guarantee wali gaadi’ is reaching every corner of the country. The poor people who spent their lives waiting to get the benefits of the schemes of the government are now witnessing a positive change. We want to get a large population of the country out of the struggles for small daily needs. Our government is focusing on the future of the poor, women, farmers and youth. The health of more than 2 crore poor people has been examined during the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. During the same period, 1 crore people were also screened for TB disease. 22 lakh people have been diagnosed with sickle cell anaemia. All these people are from village, poor, Dalit, backward and tribal communities.”
