Money laundering case: Supreme Court grants bail to Benoy Babu, Regional Manager of Pernod Ricard

Supreme Court grants bail to Benoy Babu, Regional Manager of liquor manufacturing giant Pernod Ricard, in a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam also involving AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh. The Top Court observes that trial in the case has not commenced and charges have not been framed. Supreme Court grants him bail noting that he is behind bars for 13 months and observes that ED cannot keep people in pre detention trial for so long.
