IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, inspiring ’12th Fail’ movie, among 37 CISF personnel honored on Republic Day eve

On the eve of the 75th Republic Day, 37 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, including IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, the inspiration for the film “12th Fail,” have been awarded police and fire service medals. The awardees, including Jitender Rana, are recognized for Meritorious Service. Both officers are on CISF deputation, leading units at Mumbai and Delhi airports. The CISF, with 1.80 lakh personnel, safeguards civil airports, nuclear, and aerospace installations, recently adding Parliament security in Delhi.
