Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has banned all charges except processing fees for the procurement of blood. The move is intended to check the practice of overcharging for blood in the hospitals. Official sources says the guidelines were issued earlier also in this regard and CDSCO has again issued it asking all states and Union Territories to adhere to the guidelines.
