Apple Inc plans to increase iPhone production in India, aiming to make the country a pivotal hub in its supply chain. In collaboration with its main supplier Foxconn, Apple and its suppliers aim to build more than 50 million iPhones in India annually within the next two to three years. This move reflects Apple’s efforts to diversify its supply chain and reduce its dependence on China. India offers Apple a strategic advantage in terms of its trust factor and its diplomatic ties with the US and its allies.
