Chief Priest Upset Over Premature Images of Ram Lalla’s Idol Before ‘Pran Pratishtha’ Ceremony

Ayodhya’s Ram Temple is gearing up for the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony scheduled for January 22. The temple premises have been adorned with exquisite decorations in anticipation of the event, expected to be graced by around 7,000 guests, including notable figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and prominent industrialists like Gautam Adani, Ratan Tata, and Mukesh Ambani.

In anticipation of the ceremony, DD News, a prominent news platform, shared captivating visuals showcasing the splendor of the Ram Temple’s architecture.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a hands-on approach on Friday, conducting a thorough review of the preparations for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. During the review, Yogi Adityanath instructed officials to implement robust security measures for the VVIP delegates and to assign liaison officers to accompany each VVIP guest. Emphasizing the importance of ensuring the convenience of the local residents, the Chief Minister urged the administration to manage the massive influx of devotees on the ceremony day to minimize any disruptions for the locals.

Row over pictures of Ram Lalla’s idol on social media

Acharya Satyendra Das, the Chief Priest of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple, voiced concern on Saturday regarding the circulation of viral images showing the idol of Ram Lalla before the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. Emphasizing the sacredness of the occasion, Acharya Satyendra Das asserted that the eyes of Lord Ram should not be revealed prior to the completion of the ceremony.

“The eyes of Lord Ram’s idol cannot be revealed before Pran Pratishtha is completed. The idol where the eyes of Lord Ram can be seen is not the real idol. If the eyes can be seen, an investigation should be done on who revealed the eyes and how the pictures of the idol are going viral,” stated Acharya Satyendra Das in an interview with ANI.

He assured that all the customary procedures would be adhered to, but emphasized that the unveiling of Ram Lalla’s eyes would only take place during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. “All the procedures will be carried out as usual. However, the eyes of Ram Lalla will not be revealed until the ‘Pran Pratishtha’,” he added.
