Maharashtra: NCP MLA from Nagpur, Maharashtra, Saroj Babulal Ahire reached the Vidhan Sabha with her newborn child and got drenched in the proceedings of the House. However, now it has become a topic of discussion. During this her husband and mother-in-law were also with her. As soon as MLA Saroj entered the House premises holding her child in her hands, everyone’s eyes were fixed on her.
In fact, she surprised everyone during the winter session of the Vidhansabha on Monday. NCP MLA Saroj Babulal Ahire has set an example of women empowerment. The woman MLA reached the Vidhan Sabha with her three-month-old child and participated in the proceedings of the House. Saroj had become a mother only on 30th September.
During this, she said that I am a mother now, but I have come to the assembly to answer the questions of my voters. She said that she would like to bring her child to the House daily, so that she can take care of her child along with work.

NCP MLA Saroj Babulal Ahire said that there is no feeding room or crutch facility for women legislators in the House premises. I think the government should pay attention to this. Saroj was elected MLA in the year 2019. After that she got married in February 2021.
Significantly, the winter session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly has started from today. The winter session is likely to be stormy. Opposition may create ruckus regarding Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s comment on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute.
