On Monday, the internet buzzed with excitement after spotting India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra with pistol shooter Manu Bhaker and her mother following the conclusion of the Paris Olympics 2024. The trio was seen together at an event after the Games, sparking intense speculation on social media. Many began suggesting that a potential marriage between Neeraj and Manu might be in the works.
However, Manu Bhaker’s father quickly dismissed these rumors, clarifying that his daughter is not yet at a stage in her life for such a consideration. In videos that surfaced online, Manu’s mother appeared to share a strong bond with Neeraj, further fueling the speculation.
Ram Kishan, Manu’s father, explained the connection, stating that Manu’s mother sees Neeraj as her son, which explains their close relationship. He emphasized that there is no romantic angle between the javelin star and Manu.

Neeraj’s uncle also commented on the marriage rumors, stating, “Just as the entire country celebrated Neeraj’s medal, everyone will know when he decides to marry.”
Both Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra were among the most successful Indian athletes at the Paris Olympics. While both felt they could have performed better in their respective events, they still brought pride to India. Manu secured two bronze medals in different shooting events, while Neeraj followed up his Tokyo Olympics gold with a silver in Paris.
