Virat Kohli Creates IPL History As RCB Captain, Breaks Multiple Records During RCB vs PBKS IPL 2023

When Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) played Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match No. 27 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Thursday at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Virat Kohli was back in charge. For Bangalore’s IPL 2023 match against Punjab Kings, Kohli, who had previously resigned as captain of RCB, was reinstated.

Virat Kohli as captain

While Faf du Plessis was used as an Impact Player for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Punjab Kings, Kohli served as captain of the team. Opening the innings with substitute captain Kohli, RCB’s customary chief Du Plessis tortured the Punjab Lords bowlers in the activity-pressed challenge at Mohali. Kohli led the Bangalore franchise from the front and scored a stunning half-century, laying the groundwork for a competitive total through his batting prowess.

Virat Kohli breaks multiple records against PBKS

Kohli is the second-most elevated run-getter for RCB against Punjab in the IPL. With his tenacious fifty against the team without Shikhar Dhawan, the stand-in skipper broke a number of records. Kohli became the first captain to score 6,500 runs in the Indian Premier League on Thursday, rewriting history in the lucrative league. In 186 innings, Kohli has accomplished the astonishing feat. Along with David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan, the legendary batsman also made the elite list. In the richest T20 league in the world, Kohli is the third batter to score 600 fours.
