Naveen-ul-Haq Brutally Mocks Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore were cruelly mocked by Naveen-ul-Haq after RCB was disqualified from the IPL 2023 playoffs. On Sunday, May 21, RCB lost to Gujarat Titans by six wickets at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, leaving them with 14 points, while Mumbai Indians secured the final spot in the IPL playoffs with their victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier in the day.
It was Naveen’s time to rub it in as Kohli and RCB continued to pursue their first title while Naveen shared a subtle dig on Instagram. Naveen and Kohli had a famous falling out earlier this season and were booed by crowds in Lucknow and Kolkata as fans screamed “Kohli Kohli.”
The Lucknow Super Giants pacer uploaded a video that appeared to criticize RCB and Virat Kohli following their loss to GT. LSG had previously defeated KKR to earn a spot in the IPL 2023 playoffs.
Since they met in the RCB vs. LSG match earlier this season, Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq have been taking shots at one another. It was a famous match since Kohli and Gautam Gambhir got into a fight during it.
Following the match, Kohli and Naveen both posted mysterious messages on social media, in addition to the three players receiving fines from the BCCI.
The Afghanistan and Lucknow Super Giants star was severely trodden by fans as they sang Virat Kohli’s name at several places wherever Naveen played. Naveen had appeared to taunt RCB with a reference to mangoes after their loss to the Mumbai Indians.
The LSG pacer returned the favor to the crowd against KKR after various videos of the crowd-pleasing Naveen went viral. He also mocked RCB by tweeting a dig on social media after the Bengaluru-based team was ousted from the IPL 2023 playoffs.
In spite of needing a victory to go to the playoffs, RCB lost to GT by six wickets and thus must wait another year to earn their first IPL championship.
