Match preview CSK vs RR: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) of MS Dhoni are getting ready for a challenging match in their fourth IPL 2023 game. The yellow outfit will clash with last season’s other participants, the Rajasthan Royals (RR), at the Mama Chidambaram Arena in Chennai on Wednesday, April 12.
In terms of their campaign thus far, both teams have lost three games but won two of them. While Sanju Samson and Co. are falling off from their gigantic success against the Delhi Capitals in their latest trip, the MS Dhoni-led group beat their most despised rivals, the Mumbai Indians, completely by seven wickets.
CSK will be eager to avoid another defeat, as the Men in Pink have demonstrated their dominance in four of their last five encounters. On Wednesday’s big game, Dhoni’s Super Kings will try to give their best shot against a resurgent Royals with home support.
The wicket at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium is competitive but favourable to bowlers, particularly spinners. As a result, spinners from both teams will try to get the most out of the wicket and possibly score runs. Any score between 160 and 180 can be considered competitive. Either captain winning the toss might choose to bowl first.
Deepak Chahar’s hamstring injury will keep him out. Jadeja stated in a pre-match press conference that the all-rounder would be fit in 4-5 days. Ben Stokes, who suffered a toe injury that kept him out of the game against Mumbai, is also expected to miss the game on Wednesday.
Theekshana seems like a good choice, but Super Kings would have to use Santner instead of Theekshana. After his 27-ball 61 against Mumbai, Ajinkya Rahane will be hard to drop.
