Here Is What MI’s Coach Said After Arjun Tendulkar’s 31-Run Over Against PBKS

Mark Boucher, the head coach of Mumbai Indians, lamented that his team let Punjab Kings win in the final five overs of the first innings, when they scored 96 runs to reach a match-winning 214 for 8. Despite Cameron Green’s 67 off 43 balls, Suryakumar Yadav’s 57 off 26 balls, and skipper Rohit Sharma’s 44 off 27 on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium, the Mumbai Indians were 13 runs short in their response. How ever there is something intresting what Boucher said after Arjun Tendulkar’s 31 runs over against PBKS.

Boucher after Arjun Tendulkar’s 31 runs over against PBKS

“I believed the game was in jeopardy. Surya’s was a major wicket, several centimetres sequential, and it would likely have gone for a limit. Bravo to him for keeping his cool at the end. We batted well, but they (PBKS) got such a large number of runs, which is frustrating on the grounds that we controlled half of the game. After PBKS’ victory, which was made possible by Arshdeep Singh’s four-wicket haul, Boucher told the media, “We let it slip towards the end of our bowling (innings).”

“Getting some runs was nice for Surya. It always looks amazing when he does it that way. Form is funny, and sometimes you can tell a lot about it by its numbers. In the nets, he has been hitting the ball extremely well. He stated, “It was only a matter of time before it translated into runs.”

According to Boucher, when a team concedes more than 100 runs in the final five overs, it is frustrating and the only reason the Mumbai Indians lost on Saturday night.

MI’s performance against PBKS

“They scored 96 runs in the final five overs after we were in control until the 15th over. That is quite a beating. We made a mistake, which is frustrating because we dominated and lost significantly when we did lose. We can pinpoint the reason we lost. Arjun Tendulkar, who scored 31 runs in the 15th over of PBKS’ innings, received support from the South African. Arjun was the MI bowler who cost the most, allowing 48 runs in three overs at a rate of 16.
