A grand Makar Sankranti celebration organized by Yuva Chetna at the Ballia Maldepur turn witnessed an overwhelming turnout of over 10,000 people from across Purvanchal, including the city of Ballia.
The event, organized by Rohit Kumar Singh, the National Coordinator of Yuva Chetna, aimed to promote social unity and national consciousness.
Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament, Neeraj Shekhar, inaugurated the function, setting the tone for the day’s proceedings. In his address, Shekhar praised Yuva Chetna’s efforts, highlighting the organization’s work in awakening social and national awareness among the youth. He applauded their commitment to building a better, more aware society.

Rohit Kumar Singh, in his speech, emphasized the importance of unity and progress. He spoke about Yuva Chetna’s vision to expand from Ballia to Delhi, striving for greater recognition and impact on the national stage. Singh also took a dig at the opposition, stating that they were engaging in “issue-less politics” and failing to address the real concerns of the people.
Further expressing his optimism, Singh praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that India’s influence is now resonating across the world, thanks to Modi’s governance.
The event, held in the spirit of Makar Sankranti, included a traditional feast for attendees, with dahi-chuda, jaggery, and vegetable dishes specially arranged for the crowd.
