Youth Who Arrived From Surat To Varanasi, Committed Suicide In His Cousin’s Room

A 25-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself in Kashipuram Colony of Lanka police station area. On receiving information on Monday, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Golu Yadav (25), son of Chhote Yadav, resident of Balua village, Matiyar police station of Chandauli district, came to the rented room of his cousin brother Anoop Yadav in Kashipuram Colony. Anoop works in Zomato.

In the morning, Golu committed suicide by hanging himself in Anoop’s room. At around 5.30 in the morning, the police received information that a youth had locked the door in Kashipuram Colony and committed suicide. On information, Inspector in-charge Lanka Shivakant Mishra reached the spot with the force. After interrogation, the police removed the youth’s body from the noose and sent it for post-mortem after Panchnama etc. The deceased’s cousin brother Anup told that Golu was unmarried and the younger of the two brothers.

“He lived and worked in Surat, Gujarat. For the last four days he had arrived in Varanasi and was staying in my room,” he added. On getting information about Golu’s suicide, the family members also reached the spot. Even the family members could not tell why Golu took the suicidal step. Police has started investigating the matter.
