Yogi Government To Build ‘Digital Kumbh Museum’ Ahead Of Mahakumbh 2025

The Yogi government is preparing for a grand Mahakumbh 2025 in Uttar Pradesh by constructing a ‘Digital Kumbh Museum’ in Prayagraj. This initiative aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision to enhance the spiritual experience for devotees.

The Tourism Department will develop the museum, allowing visitors to digitally experience the Samudra Manthan and learn about Kumbh, Mahakumbh, and other spiritual landmarks. As Uttar Pradesh continues to rapidly expand its tourism sector, the upcoming Mahakumbh presents both opportunities and challenges.

The museum will be located on Arail Road Naini, near Shivalaya Park in Prayagraj. Spanning 10,000 square meters, it will accommodate 2,000 to 2,500 visitors at a time. The total project cost is estimated at Rs 21.38 crore, with Rs 6 crore already allocated.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh shared these developments. He emphasized the state’s commitment to enhancing the spiritual experience for pilgrims and promoting religious tourism.

As part of the museum, a gallery will showcase the 14 gems of Samudra Manthan. Digital displays will provide detailed information about this mythological event. Additionally, visitors can explore information on various Kumbh events, including those in Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain, through interactive screens.

The museum will also feature landscaped surroundings and a ticket counter for visitors.

Chitrakoot Tourism App: A One-Stop Solution for Pilgrims

In a related initiative, the Chitrakoot Tourism App has been launched to facilitate access to the sacred site where Lord Shri Ram spent 11 years in exile. By installing the app, visitors can easily find comprehensive information about various attractions, including their significance and visiting hours.

According to Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, the app prioritizes tourist convenience. For example, clicking on “Ram Ghat” reveals details such as visiting hours, historical significance, and current weather conditions.

Moreover, the app includes information on festivals and events like Mahakumbh, Chitrakoot Mahotsav, Ramnavami, and the National Ramayana Fair. It also covers local food, shopping, transportation options, accommodation, and nearby services like petrol stations and ATMs.
