6 Surprising Benefits Of Drinking Water On An Empty Stomach
The Yamuna water level in the National Capital was measured on Sunday morning at 205.81 metres, just above the 205.33 metre danger mark after days of retreating. The Central Water Commission reports that the water level was 205.81 at 7 am today, up from the 205.7m gauged earlier in the morning.
Numerous homes in Noida’s low-lying districts were drowned on Saturday as a result of an increase in the water level of the Hindon River. On Saturday, when they arrived, the police gave a warning about the situation.
“Water entered some houses in the low-lying areas…as a precautionary measure, people have been evacuated to a safer place. The situation is normal at the moment and we are monitoring the water level and spreading awareness about it,” said, Sureshrao Kulkarni, Additional Commissioner of Police.
The Yamuna had been progressively retreating after reaching an all-time high of 208.66 metres on July 13; nevertheless, throughout the previous two to three days, there had been minor changes in the water level.
At 8 p.m. on July 18, the water level, which had been over the danger line for eight days, fell below it. On July 10, at 5 o’clock, the river crossed the danger line, causing significant flooding in the nation’s capital. The rising river’s water level caused flooding-like conditions in a number of locations throughout Delhi.
Revenue Minister Atishi stated in a statement on Saturday that there is a chance the Yamuna River may cross the danger threshold by tomorrow (Sunday) evening, citing the Central Water Commission. Atishi further warned that if the water level reaches 206.7 m, some areas of Yamuna Khadar would flood. Nevertheless, she continued, “the government is fully prepared to conduct immediate evacuations in these vulnerable areas.”
