Women Throng in Large Numbers At Meghalaya By-Elections

Under the watchful eye of Chief Electoral Office, K R Kharkongor, by-elections to the Sohiong assembly constituency in Meghalaya East Khasi Hills Districts were conducted.

A lot of people went to the polls, especially young and old, who were excited to participate in the festival of democracy with their early voter and 18+ voter medals. Women voted in record numbers, significantly outnumbering men, demonstrating their determination to exercise their right to vote.

Meghalaya’s chief editor made a post about the feat on Twitter.
