PM Narendra Modi organized a Diwali gathering at the BJP office in Delhi, where he met renowned journalists, extending Diwali and Chhath festival greetings. Upendrra Rai, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express, participated in the event and shared discussions with PM Modi and journalists. Upendrra Rai narrated an encounter with a woman from his village who expressed gratitude for the Modi government.
Upendrra Rai explained that he had visited his village last year, where the village head visited his home occasionally. During one such visit, he inquired about her thoughts on the government. She responded, “Oh, sir, we didn’t know what the government was before Modi. We had no idea about government and administration.”
The CM of Bharat Express further conveyed his conversation with the woman, asking her what the government had done. She revealed that Modi had provided them with so much oil, grains, and rice that they could sell the surplus in the market. This not only increased their income but also ensured availability beyond their basic needs, improving their overall livelihood. Additionally, shortages of oil, rice, and grains during festivals were now addressed.
Upendrra Rai emphasized that after hearing this woman’s perspective, he understood that PM Modi had recognized the hunger and needs of the people. He highlighted Modi’s deep insights and suggested that although he might not be recognized as a specialist or scientist, his name would surely be associated with the Earth’s statistics in the future.
