Woman Commit Suicide After Poisoning Minor Sons In UP

In a tragic incident in Muskara, Hamirpur district, Uttar Pradesh, a woman allegedly poisoned her two young sons and then commited suicide and took her own life following a dispute with her brother.

Mohini, 26, had a love marriage that her family did not approved, leading her to live separately from her husband. Recently, after an argument, her brother had scolded her and urged her to return to her husband.

On Saturday evening, Mohini reportedly fed her sons food laced with poison and then consumed the poison herself. Police were alerted and transported the bodies to the mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

Family members revealed that Mohini married Hemant from Kachhuwa village in the Rath area ten years ago. Due to ongoing marital disputes, she had been living in Noida with her sons, Gautam, 5, and Harsh, 3, and working as a daily-wager. She had returned to her parents’ house in Bandwa a week ago.

After arriving at her parental home, she had another altercation with her brother Golu, who demanded she leave and go back to her husband. On Saturday evening, she told her family she was returning to Noida with her children, but instead, she took their lives and her own near the Bank of Baroda premises.

Shashi Pandey, the police station in-charge, stated, “The matter is being investigated thoroughly. Action will be taken against the culprits on the basis of a complaint and autopsy report.”
