Will Car Overturn? Atiq Ahmed On His Way To Prayagraj, Convoy Stops Five Times In Less Than 12 Hours

Mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed is being transported to Prayagraj by the Uttar Pradesh Police after they took custody of him on Sunday from the Sabarmati Prison authorities in Ahmedabad. The convoy that was with him made at least five stops throughout the course of the past 12 hours since the trip started yesterday i.e, March 26. Ahmed voiced concern that he might be killed as soon as he left the main jail. Ahmed, the primary suspect in the 2005 murder of Raju Pal, a BSP MLA. Moreover, Atiq Ahmed was already in jail when Umesh Pal, was murdered in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on February 24.

According to authorities, Ahmed is mentioned in more than 100 criminal cases, including the most recent Umesh Pal murder case. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had sworn to destroy the mafia after Umesh Pal, a crucial witness in the 2005 murder of then-BSP Lawmaker Raju Pal, and his two security guards were killed in the heinous shooting.
