When Trust Takes Flight: CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar Fly VSR

In a moment that quietly carried strong reassurance, the decision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar to travel on a VSR-operated aircraft on Friday reflected institutional confidence in the operator.

According to the passenger manifest issued by Aviground Facilities Ltd at the General Aviation Terminal of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, the aircraft (registration VT-VSG) departed Mumbai at 1:30 PM. It landed in Ozar later the same day.

The document confirms the flight was operated in an authorised and official capacity.

Along with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, several senior leaders were on board the aircraft. They included Chhagan Bhujbal, Girish Mahajan, Dadaji Bhuse, Devyani Pharande, Seema Hirey, Deoram Palaskar, Shashank Dhabolkar and Anil Dhikale.

The flight was operated by an experienced crew. At the helm, Capt Bishwajit Jha served as Pilot in Command. Supporting him, Capt Ankur Kesharia was Second in Command, with Capt Ashwini Sonawane as Flight Attendant and Capt Ankur Chaudhary on duty.

For senior constitutional authorities, air travel decisions are never routine. Every flight involves a strict evaluation of aircraft condition, crew capability, operational discipline and regulatory compliance.

Against this backdrop, the decision of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to fly on a VSR-operated aircraft stands out. It is being seen as a clear expression of confidence. The choice, however, reflects trust in the company’s safety systems and professional standards.

Aviation observers note that such trust is built over time through consistency and adherence to norms, rather than through claims. The presence of the state’s top leadership on board reflects institutional assurance in VSR’s operations.

A Quiet but Powerful Signal

While the journey itself was conducted without fanfare, its significance has not gone unnoticed. In an environment where aviation safety often faces intense public scrutiny, the choice made by Maharashtra’s highest elected leaders has resonated as a reassuring signal.

Their travel on a VSR aircraft demonstrates trust conveyed through action. It shows that those entrusted with governing the state are willing to place their own safety in the hands of the operator.

For VSR, the flight stands as more than an operational milestone. It reinforces public confidence in the company’s aircraft, crew and safety management practices.

For citizens, it offers a sense of reassurance. It underscores that safety standards trusted at the highest level are being upheld on the ground and in the air.

The flight from Mumbai to Ozar became more than a point-to-point journey. It, however, emerged as a quiet affirmation that credibility in aviation is earned through trust, discipline and consistently safe operations.
