Partha Chatterjee - suffering one jolt after another
In a massive blow for the former West Bengal Industry minister Partha Chatterjee, Presidency Central Correctional Home authorities has turned down his demand of a personal assistant. Partha, currently, is spending his days in a cell at Presidency Central Correctional Home for his involvement in cash for jobs scam.

The former minister has made this demand on his health grounds. While he complained of his health issues, the authorities got him treated in SSKM hospital and based on hospital reports the demand for his personal assistant have been turned down by the authorities.
The state home department , however, said that if Partha wants to do some physical exercises then a personal assistant can be provided to him.
The Presidency Central Correctional Home authorities, on their part, want to move cautiously as they , earlier, were censured by the court for allowing Partha to wear ring which goes against the prison manuals.

Chatterjee and his close associate Arpita Mukherjee, a co-accused in the case will be presented at PMLA special court in the city later today.
It should be noted that prior to his assignment as the state industries minister, Partha was the education minister where the scams took place.
