‘Wedding That Is Never Going To Happen’: Alleged Snapchat Chat Emerges In Ketan Agarwal Murder Probe

Fresh developments in the alleged murder investigation of Ketan Agarwal indicate that the two accused, Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary, allegedly relied on coded language and nicknames to communicate after the crime.

Police sources said they allegedly adopted the method to avoid surveillance and conceal evidence.

Investigators are also examining an alleged Snapchat conversation between Siya and one of her friends.

According to police sources, Siya allegedly requested a copy of her friend’s Aadhaar card to book flight tickets.

In the alleged chat, Siya reportedly said, “Send me your Aadhaar card to book tickets for a wedding that is never going to happen.”

Police are probing whether the proposed booking was part of an alleged plan to show that wedding preparations were continuing.

Investigators are also examining whether the move was intended to divert suspicion from the alleged murder conspiracy.

Officials added that investigators have not yet established the authenticity or evidentiary value of the alleged Snapchat conversation.

According to investigators, forensic recovery of deleted mobile phone data revealed alleged coded conversations between Siya and Chetan after Ketan’s alleged murder.

Police suspect the exchanges aimed to hide details of the alleged conspiracy.

Investigators allege the duo killed Ketan, Siya’s fiancé, before attempting to destroy evidence and mislead authorities.

A local court remanded both accused to 14 days of judicial custody and rejected the police request for three more days of custodial interrogation

Investigating Officer Manoj Pawar told the court that police conducted a panchnama at the spot where Siya allegedly tore Ketan’s passport.

Officers also seized her clothes and examined her second mobile phone, which allegedly contained coded conversations.

The investigating agency also sought permission to conduct an identification parade before eyewitnesses.

Siya’s counsel opposed further police custody, arguing that investigators had produced no substantial fresh evidence.

The court declined permission for a narcoanalysis because neither accused consented to the test.

The prosecution also said it did not consider a narcoanalysis necessary at this stage. The investigation remains underway.
