Meerut: Voter icons who participated in the voter awareness program being run under SVEEP were honored on Saturday. Officials appreciated the role of the voter icon. Selva Kumari J., Commissioner and District Magistrate Deepak Meena inaugurated Sweep Gallery at Vikas Bhawan on Saturday. Selfies were taken by the officials at the selfie point and a signature campaign was conducted for voter awareness.
All the sweep icons were honored by the Commissioner and District Magistrate by giving mementos and citations. The commissioner said that the district administration is continuously campaigning for voter awareness through sweeps. “Be sure to cast your vote on voting day,” she said and added, “While checking their name in the voter list, all the voters should also check their booth so that no voter faces any problem regarding name and booth on the day of voting.”
She said that every citizen above 18 years of age is given rights by the Constitution. “To strengthen democracy, all voters should use their rights and participate in increasing the voting percentage as much as possible.

Meerut is setting records in every field. I hope that due to the collective efforts of the district administration and voters, this time we will see an increase in the vote percentage,” she concluded. CDO Nupur Goyal, Joint Magistrate Gamini Singla, Joint Magistrate Shruti Sharma, etc. were present on this occasion.
