In a video that went viral in early part of Monday is showing a woman disgracefully showering currency notes on Shivling of Kedaranth. This incident took place very much in the heart of the temple that is Garba Griha. This video is attracting a lot of hatred from the viewers and followers of Lord Shiva. The authorities of temple have asked police for necessary and immediate action in this matter. However, there is no clear information of the woman available.
In the video, woman is acting in a highly disgraceful manner as showering money as if she is in a bar. Such act of the woman has attracted a lot of hatred and people are expressing their displeasure over the same. The video is shot right next to the Shivling and any kind of Photography or Videography is prohibited in that area.
Temple President Ajendra Ajay acknowledged the viral video in a press release that was formally acknowledged by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee. He urged the authorities to take severe action. According to reports, Ajay had a conversation with the Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate of Rudraprayag to request that the appropriate miscreants be dealt with right away.
Uttarakhand police has taken this to Twitter (in Hindi) and said, “Taking cognizance of the video of a woman showering money in the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Kedarnath Dham. Necessary legal action is being taken by #UttarakhandPolice by registering charges under relevant sections related to hurting religious sentiments.”
