Viral Video: Woman Seen Showering Currency Notes On Shivling In Kedarnath; Uttarakhand Police Takes Legal Action

In a video that went viral in early part of Monday is showing a woman disgracefully showering currency notes on Shivling of Kedaranth. This incident took place very much in the heart of the temple that is Garba Griha. This video is attracting a lot of hatred from the viewers and followers of Lord Shiva. The authorities of temple have asked police for necessary and immediate action in this matter. However, there is no clear information of the woman available.

The Viral Video of Showering of Currency Notes On Shivling

In the video, woman is acting in a highly disgraceful manner as showering money as if she is in a bar. Such act of the woman has attracted a lot of hatred and people are expressing their displeasure over the same. The video is shot right next to the Shivling and any kind of Photography or Videography is prohibited in that area.

Temple authorities files complaint

Temple President Ajendra Ajay acknowledged the viral video in a press release that was formally acknowledged by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee. He urged the authorities to take severe action. According to reports, Ajay had a conversation with the Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate of Rudraprayag to request that the appropriate miscreants be dealt with right away.

Uttarakhand police has taken this to Twitter (in Hindi) and said, “Taking cognizance of the video of a woman showering money in the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Kedarnath Dham. Necessary legal action is being taken by #UttarakhandPolice by registering charges under relevant sections related to hurting religious sentiments.”

Kedarnath Temple is one of the most pious places for people who follow Hindu religion. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. In recent times, people are visiting Kedarnath in increasing numbers. At such a holy place, such incidents should not take place. As it hurts the sentiments of the people of the society.
