The Ministry of External Affairs said today Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar held a talk with Norodom Sihamoni, the Cambodian King on key areas like capacity building, defence, and parliamentary cooperation.
At Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu gave a ceremonial welcome to King Sihamoni.
The President of India tweeted, “President Droupadi Murmu accorded a ceremonial welcome to King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia at Rashtrapati Bhavan”, through its official Twitter handle.
At the forecourts of Rashtrapati Bhavan, PM Narendra Modi also greeted the King.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tweeted, “Delighted to welcome King HM Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia. Our nations share deep historical and cultural ties, and we look forward to strengthening our friendship and cooperation even further. May his visit mark a new chapter in India-Cambodia relations”, through his official Twitter handle.

Dr. S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister tweeted, “Honoured to call on King HM Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia. His visit, as our two countries celebrate the 70th anniversary of our diplomatic relations, reaffirms the strong civilizational bond between us. Today that is expressed in cooperation in heritage conservation, demining, water conservation and socio-economic projects”, through his official Twitter handle.
Hon’ble Vice President, Jagdeep Dhankhar recalled the warm welcome and good discussions during his visit to Cambodia for India-ASEAN and East Asia Summits in November 2022. They had wide-ranging discussions on bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest.
