Vacation Bench of Apex Court Seeks Reply From Rajasthan Government As Accused In 2021 Paper Leak Case Reach SC

The vacation bench of the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Rajasthan Government seeking a reply in the state SI recruitment 2021 paper leak case as accused individuals file a petition in the apex court.

The Vacation bench of Justice PS Narsimha and Justice Sanjay Karol is hearing the petition filed on behalf of the accused. The Supreme Court will next hear the case on the 15th  of July.

The court has heard the case before as well.  After hearing, the Supreme Court sent the case to the High Court. The Accused reapproached the Apex Court failing to secure relief from the High Court.

Petitioners Surendra Kumar, Naresh Kumar, and Rajeshwari along with an SI have filed a petition under Article 32.

Notably, the CMM court of Jaipur Mahanagar II granted bail to 11 trainee SIs and one constable on April 12.

The grant of bail to bail to the trainee SI was a big blow to the SOG, leading to the filling of the petition against this decision by him. Later the petition was put on interim stay by Rajasthan court on 15 April. After this stay by the Rajasthan court, 12 accused reached Apex Court.

Three other accused in the same SI paper leak case have received a setback from the Supreme Court. It has refused to hear the petition declaring the arrest of the three accused illegal.

The Vacation bench has asked the accused to approach Rajasthan High Court.
