Uttar Pradesh Prepares For Maha Kumbh 2025 With Launch Of Nishadraj Cruise

As the Uttar Pradesh government prepares for Maha Kumbh 2025, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s administration is introducing innovative steps to enhance the experience for millions of devotees, including the launch of the state-of-the-art Nishadraj cruise, which will play a key role in welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the sacred gathering.

The cruise, managed by the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), has set sail from Varanasi and is en route to Prayagraj.

Designed with modern amenities, the Nishadraj cruise promises to offer a luxurious and memorable journey along the river, marking a significant milestone in the state’s push to combine spiritual tradition with modern innovation.

VIP vehicles, including the Kasturba, have been strategically placed near the Naini Bridge in anticipation of the cruise’s arrival, signaling the grandeur of Maha Kumbh 2025.

Prime Minister Modi will likely visit the Maha Kumbh on 13 December, where he will officially inaugurate the Nishadraj cruise and embark on a special journey from Arail to the Sangam.

At Shrungverpur Dham, PM Modi will unveil statues of Lord Ram and Nishadraj before beginning the ritual bath at the Sangam, a revered site where the Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers meet.

In addition to the ritual bath, the PM’s visit will include a Ganga Aarti ceremony and visits to iconic sites like the Bade Hanuman Temple and the Akshayavat.

PM Modi, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will also interact with spiritual leaders and saints from around the world at the Parade Ground assembly site, making the occasion even more significant.
