Uttar Pradesh Prepares For Maha Kumbh 2025 With Launch Of Nishadraj Cruise

As the Uttar Pradesh government prepares for Maha Kumbh 2025, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s administration is introducing innovative steps to enhance the experience for millions of devotees, including the launch of the state-of-the-art Nishadraj cruise, which will play a key role in welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the sacred gathering.

The cruise, managed by the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), has set sail from Varanasi and is en route to Prayagraj.

Designed with modern amenities, the Nishadraj cruise promises to offer a luxurious and memorable journey along the river, marking a significant milestone in the state’s push to combine spiritual tradition with modern innovation.

In collaboration with the Prayagraj Mela Authority, the Varanasi administration is working tirelessly to ensure seamless coordination for the cruise’s arrival.

VIP vehicles, including the Kasturba, have been strategically placed near the Naini Bridge in anticipation of the cruise’s arrival, signaling the grandeur of Maha Kumbh 2025.

Prime Minister Modi will likely visit the Maha Kumbh on 13 December, where he will officially inaugurate the Nishadraj cruise and embark on a special journey from Arail to the Sangam.

At Shrungverpur Dham, PM Modi will unveil statues of Lord Ram and Nishadraj before beginning the ritual bath at the Sangam, a revered site where the Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers meet.

In addition to the ritual bath, the PM’s visit will include a Ganga Aarti ceremony and visits to iconic sites like the Bade Hanuman Temple and the Akshayavat.

PM Modi, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will also interact with spiritual leaders and saints from around the world at the Parade Ground assembly site, making the occasion even more significant.

All Set For Nishadraj Cruise Journey From Varanasi To Prayagraj, Says Vivek Chaturvedi

Vivek Chaturvedi, Additional Mela Officer, confirmed that all necessary arrangements are in place to ensure the smooth passage of the Nishadraj cruise from Varanasi to Prayagraj.

The cruise, which has currently reached Sitamarhi, situated between Varanasi and Prayagraj, requires a minimum clearance of 100 feet to pass through certain stretches of the river.

To ensure safe passage, additional vessels are accompanying the Nishadraj to assist during the journey.

The Nishadraj cruise will likely be a major attraction for tourists, both domestic and international, offering a unique experience as it traverses the Ganga River.

The luxury cruise, with its state-of-the-art amenities, is will likely be a symbol of Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to innovation while maintaining the spiritual and cultural significance of the Maha Kumbh.

With the meticulous planning and dedication from the Varanasi administration, Prayagraj Mela Authority, and the IWAI, Maha Kumbh 2025 is likely to be a spectacular event that blends tradition with modernity, offering an unforgettable experience for all who attend.
