US President Joe Biden and PM Narendra Modi
PM Modi and Joe Biden: US President Joe Biden reached Delhi on Friday evening to participate in the G20 summit. His convoy was also with him. After this, the US President directly reached his residence for the much-awaited bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where PM Modi warmly welcomed him. According to sources, several issues were discussed between the two leaders, including the deal for fighter jet engines, the purchase of Predator drones and cooperation on important and emerging technologies like 5G and 6G networks.
According to sources, during the bilateral talks, both the leaders also reviewed the ongoing bilateral cooperation in the areas of clean energy, trade and defence. Earlier on Friday, PM Modi held separate bilateral meetings with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.
During the meeting with PM Modi, President Biden warmly congratulated Prime Minister and the people of India on Chandrayaan-3’s historic landing near the lunar south pole and highlighted deepening cooperation between the two countries in Space.
Prime Minister Modi and President Biden had earlier discussed possible cooperation in developing next generation small modular reactor technology in a collaborative mode during their talks in Washington, USA in June. In today’s meeting also this issue was discussed between the two leaders.

Let us tell you that G20 member countries represent about 85 percent of global GDP, more than 75 percent of global trade and almost two-thirds of the global population. This group includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, UK, USA and European countries.
