Thousands of devotees on Saturday thronged the shrine of Hazrat Molvi Mohiuddin Khan Naqshbandi (RA) at the Nihalpora-Pattan area of Baramulla district to participate in 98th Urs celebrations of the Sufi Saint.
A large number of women, children, and the aged audience were seen paying obeisance at the event. People offered special night-long prayers at the shrine, which resounded with recitations of verses of the Holy Quran, Khatame-Pak’s, and Naats.
The Urs was celebrated at night, unlike previous years it was celebrated on day. In the past three years, the commemorations were held with the attendance of limited people because of the Covid-19 pandemic. This time around things were different, thousands of devotees thronged the shrine.

At the occasion, the Religious Clerics threw light on the life, teachings and religious services of the saint commonly known as Khan Sahib (RA).
Besides, traditional food was also served among the devotees as Tabaruk by the Shrine Committee. The Saint as per the Ulemas had devoted his entire life to Islam.
